Welcome to the first release of Amplitude. I wanted to listen to my mp3 collection while at work; however, my mp3 collection is stored at high bit rates, and I only have a DSL connection. This made most mp3 applications impossible to use. So I decided to write an application capable of using Lame to re-encode mp3s on the fly. Amplitude is the result. I hope that others can now benefit from it.
